Responsibilities of the Technical Scrum Project Manager EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking a hybrid Technical Scrum Project Manager to lead and manage software project deliveries in a client-facing role in Washington, DC. This position requires a strong background in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, as well as experience in client management. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively facilitate Agile processes, manage client relationships, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions on time and within scope.
The Technical Scrum Project Manager will:
Manage Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for development teams.
Ensure that the Scrum team adheres to Agile principles and practices, helping them stay focused and aligned with project goals.
Serve as a coach and mentor to the team, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and self-organization.
Identify and remove impediments that hinder the team’s ability to deliver value, escalating issues as necessary.
Foster a culture of transparency and communication across the team, providing visibility into the project’s progress to all stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with product owners and other key team members to define project requirements, prioritize features, and refine backlog items.
Run status meetings and create Agile-based metrics such as burn-down charts and velocity tracking.
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects while maintaining a clear focus on client expectations, scope, and timelines.
Manage relationships with clients, ensuring that their needs are understood, prioritized, and met throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring that deliverables are completed on time and within scope and budget.
Oversee application lifecycle management tools.
Clearly document and outline business processes and develop PowerPoint presentations to convey critical concepts to clients.
Qualifications:
Strong experience with Enterprise delivery experience managing more than one project at a time.
Experience with Agile methodologies, managing software development teams, and delivering high-quality software solutions.
4+ years of experience with client delivery, managing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.
5+ years of experience working with development teams on modern technology stacks and SaaS solutions
Experience with implementing shared services for federal agencies, implementing HR systems like PeopleSoft, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or other federal ERP systems (3+ years).
Knowledge of software delivery lifecycle and integrating Agile methodologies into traditional project management structures (5+ years).
Certified Scrum Master is required.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred.
