Job Title: Marketing/Graphic Design Specialist

Responsibilities of the Marketing/Graphic Design Specialist:
The Marketing/Graphic Design Specialist will be responsible for spearheading EDC’s and its subsidiary McLane Advanced Technologies) marketing, communications, and graphic design efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of marketing strategies and creative concepts for communications, marketing campaigns and communication strategies and ensuring brand awareness. The Marketing/Graphic Design Specialist will be responsible for leading company wide-marketing initiatives. Through the effective articulation of overall business strategy and vision, this individual will serve as a contributor to the growth and development of EDC’s visibility in the marketplace. Excellent written and oral communications skills are a must, as well as advanced graphic design expertise and some marketing experience. 

The Marketing/Graphic Design Specialist will:
  • Act as the custodian of EDC's brands, ensuring consistency and alignment across all materials and platforms.
  • Work alongside company leadership to create, refine, and enhance marketing collateral that resonates within our marketplace.
  • Maintain and update website design and content, maintaining a compelling online presence.
  • Generate engaging content for regular distribution across social media channels, ensuring consistent and relevant communications.
  • Assist in the conception and execution of effective marketing and promotional campaigns.
  • Conceptualize, develop, and source company-branded promotional items that reinforce our brand identity.
  • Collaborate with the Proposal and Business Development teams to craft visually impactful graphics for Federal government proposals.
  • Stay current with emerging tools for graphic design, marketing, and content creation.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of web design and contribute to web development efforts as needed.
  • Contribute to the company's internal web and social media content with basic digital photography, video editing, and photography skills.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, graphic design, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • 1-3+ years of experience in graphic design, marketing, or communications.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Strong understanding of the Federal consulting marketplace.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Microsoft Office, and related graphic design tools.
  • Familiarity in the use of Artificial Intelligence tools for content and graphics creation/generation.
  • Proficiency in all major social media platforms, including LinkedIn.
  • Familiarity with E-Commerce and experience managing online storefronts.
  • Familiarity with WordPress and other content management systems is a plus.
  • Basic proficiency in digital photography, photo, and video editing.
  • Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
