Job Title: Proposal Support Analyst

Responsibilities of the Proposal Support Analyst
EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Proposal Support Analyst to join our Business Development team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in preparing and supporting the delivery of competitive proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards. This position is ideal for a candidate with strong writing abilities and a keen interest in business analysis.

The Proposal Support Analyst will:
  • Assist in the development and submission of proposals, ensuring all documents are well-organized, accurate, and submitted on time.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information, statistics, and other data to support proposal content.
  • Conduct basic analysis of Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Information (RFIs), and other solicitation documents to understand and document requirements.
  • Write and edit proposal content, including technical descriptions, executive summaries, and project methodologies, ensuring clarity and compliance with requirements.
  • Manage proposal documentation throughout the lifecycle of the proposal, from initial request to final submission, including tracking edits and revisions.
  • Participate in strategy sessions on proposed project organization, logistics, and staffing to ensure alignment with company capabilities and client needs.
  • Support the maintenance of proposal archives, including templates, past submissions, and supportive documents.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the proposal process by suggesting enhancements to ensure streamlined operations and superior submissions.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, English, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in proposal development or a similar role in a business or project management environment.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret business documents, including RFPs and technical requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with proposal management software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with the industry the company operates in, and an understanding of technical jargon and processes related to the field.
  • Ability to obtain a clearance.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in the company’s office located in Tysons Corner, VA and/or also work from home as directed. EDC’s primary collaboration and communication tool is Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, and the entire suite of Microsoft Office 365 products. Flexibility in telework arrangements and responding to the needs of the company’s leadership, the team lead, and/or the work group will be necessary. Daily “scrum” meetings take place as needed. Presently, scrum meetings are held daily to coordinate business activities and tasks amongst the team.
